【使える英語表現】日本語の「仕事始め」は英語で何て言う？

日本語でよく「仕事始め」と言うけれど、英語では何て言うのだろう。

「仕事始め」に相当する英語はないが、あえて表現すると、「the first business day of the year」(その年の最初の営業日) であろう。同様に、仕事納めは、「the last business day of the year」で OK。

今回は、「仕事始め」の英語表現、「初～」を意味する他の英語表現、「first」のイディオムを使った英語表現を紹介したい。
